Founded in 1996 by a team of talented IT Engineers, Digital Factory began providing network solutions to customers and has strongly focused on the Linux operating system and the development of new products for the ever-growing population of Linux users.

Digital Factory has since unified its O/S and application development to provide Linux users with powerful, feature rich solutions that are multi-lingual and multi-platform.
In early 1999 the company was renamed to Digital Factory Japan and by July of that year expanded into the global economy and established Digital Factory USA in California.

In December 1999, Digital Factory Japan proudly released Kondara MNU/Linux (for desktop computers) the world's first multi-lingual, multi-platform Linux O/S distribution. Created for the global marketplace this innovative product is designed to perform in multiple languages from a single installation, thus, crossing language barriers and enabling e-business to excel internationally. In accordance with Digital Factory's adherence to higher standards and rapid development, MNU/Linux 2000 was released in Japan during April 2000 and will be released in the United States on August 15, 2000

Digital Factory's quest for advancing Linux technology has merely begun. On August 15th 2000 the release of the all-new Enterprise/Server Edition of Kondara MNU/Linux is scheduled.

September 2000 will see the release of Digital Factory's software package code named "Everyone." This new product is designed for the Wireless Application Protocol (WAP), allowing access via Palm computers, mobile phones, and other wireless devices. "Everyone" is also Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) authentication groupware.

Digital Factory is pioneering innovations and advancements in Linux O/S technology and setting new standards along the way.
